Students celebrated Computer Science Week before the break by taking part in the Hour of Code.

The largest learning event in history, Hour of Code afforded students the opportunity to tackle hundreds of coding and computing challenges in their ICT lessons. Every participant in the scheme received a certificate for their efforts.

Meanwhile, Key Stage 4 students completed the Bebras computational thinking challenges, with Year 11 Reece Johnson finishing in the top 10% of all nationwide entrants.

Reece has now been invited to participate in a challenge with Oxford University! A brilliant achievement, and we’ll be sure to have news of how he gets on as soon as it happens.
