Congratulations to our Year 7 and 8 Athletic teams, both of whom prevailed victorious from May’s Rochdale Schools Quadkids Athletics events at Kingsway Park School.

A team-based competition which sees every athlete competing in four different disciplines – 100m, 800m, long jump and Vortex howler throw –  the Quadkids event saw both our Year 7 and 8 teams’ cumulative scores take them to the top of the leaderboard.

A brilliant start to our summer term of competitions.

Meanwhile, the school’s Year 7 and 8 female footballers overcame a rocky start to narrowly miss out on cup glory on Friday 29th April.

Taking part in the Manchester United organised Girls Partnership Tournament, the eight-strong Middleton Technology School squad lost their first group game.

Unbuoyed by the defeat, the team won the next three games to qualify for the final.

A thrilling encounter against host school Copley Academy, the girls pushed their talented opponents all the way in an unlucky and pulsating end to the competition.

A fantastic effort from our Year 7 and 8 girls!
